Theirs is a little known story....
At the turn of the last century, a generation of Lebanese immigrants, then known as Syrians fled the political strife of the Turkish Ottoman Empire to gamble on a better life in a strange new land. That gamble paid off, both for themselves and for the mining towns of northern Ontario.
