A new show of paintings and drawings. This body of work portrays an excavation of the personal and collective subconscious. It examines the fight or flight reaction, sexual fetishes and the inescapable abyss. The environment is covered in painted pre and post apocalyptic motifs representative of our times. Jewel-like meteor shapes pummel the canvas surfaces reminiscent of disaster b-movies. Animal claws and toothy maws taunt the viewer. Is this wake drunken reverie or is it ergot dementia? The artwork endeavours to wake the sleeper at his own funeral.
